I was so excited to attend the 2018 MBFWA as Balincourt creator and also repping myself as a freelance stylist.
I kicked the week off eating pastries and drinking coffee at the Flaunter // Pared Eyewear - Women in Fashion breakfast. The event brought together over 150 Australian designers, PR agencies, media, retailers, industry and international guests of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia at the iconic Paramount building in Surry Hills to celebrate the incredible women who power the fashion industry. It was an honour to attend.

It was then on to the shows at Carriageworks. My stand-outs for the week were Camilla and Marc, who were celebrating their 15 year anniversary, Albus Lumen, Christopher Esber, and Client Liaison's debut line which included the boys playing their hits live.

I finished off the week attending a panel discussion hosted by the Australian Fashion Council on the future of resort wear. The discussion, hosted by Harpers Bazaar Australia Editor-in-Chief and Australian Fashion Council Board Director, Kellie Hush, focused on the impact of the resort wear market and the global appeal of Australian fashion.
AFC members Robert Moore, CEO of Alice McCall, Toby Jones, Co-Founder of Double Rainbouu and Amy Farrell, of The Fashion Futurist joined Kellie on stage for the chat.
